<span data-buffer="">Hengki M. Sibuea is the Senior Partner and founder of the firm. Prior to establishing the firm, Hengki, worked with several prominent law firms. Hengki obtained his Sarjana Hukum (Bachelor of Laws) degree from Diponegoro University, Semarang and Master of Laws degree at Gadjah Mada University, majoring Business Law. Hengki is a member of Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI), a licensed Tax Atorney before the Indonesian Tax Court and also a Certified Legal Auditor.

Hengki has more than 10 (ten) years experience in commercial law practice and litigation. His legal experience include providing professional legal services, advice, analyses and recommendations to various business communities in Indonesia in relation to commercial and criminal litigation. Hengki has also earned a reputation in handling negotiations, mediations and dispute setilements in litigation proceedings (from a District Court level up to the Supreme Court), in wide-ranging civil and criminal areas, industrial relations disputes, bankruptcy cases, arbitration cases, antimonopoly and unfair business practices matters.

Representing clients in commercial disputes, including disputes relating to construction contracts, manpower, and oil and gas related contracts at the District Courts, High Court and Supreme Court in Indonesia;
- Representing clients in arbitration proceedings, both institutonal and ad hoc arbitration, under a variety of arbitration rules such as the BANI Rules, ICC Rules, SIAC Rules and UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules;

- Representing clients in intellectual property disputes surrounding registered worldwide trademarks and the Commercial Court of Indonesia;

- Assisting clients in group debt setilement in relation to special program loan restructuring;

- Providing legal opinions in relation to security agreements;

- Representing clients in criminal trial proceedings relating to corruption allegations related to the purchase of loan assets.

Ruth Olivia Tobing is the Partner and founder of Hengki Sibuea & Partners Law Offices.  She graduated from Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta with a degree in law in 2004. She continued her studies at Gadjah Mada University Jakarta majoring in Master of Business Law in 2018.

 

Mrs. Ruth had excellent experiences working in well-known law firm in Jakarta. She gave legal aid for free (pro bono) for the poor people through Mawar Saron Legal Aid (LBH Mawar Saron) and dedicating her time as a defense attorney at Hotma Sitompoel & Associates with more than 10 years of experience before she decided to join Hengki Sibuea & Partners involves in a wide range of commercial litigation and arbitration. Further, from those experiences, she has great understanding on criminal law, industrial relations,bankruptcy law, tax law, alternative dispute resolustion and debt recovery,etc.

 

Mrs. Ruth has provided advice to prominent local companies, multinational companies, financial institutions, mining companies, and pharmaceutical companies with her reputation in handling negotiations, mediations and dispute settlements in litigation proceedings.  She speaks Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Muhamad Soleman

Associate - leman@hengkisibuea.com

Graduated from Bung Karno Jakarta University, 2015. He embraced the major Criminal Law. He joined Hengki Sibuea & Partners Law Offices since 2018 and currently as one of Associate.


He has been involved in advising and assisting various dispute resolutions and litigation or non-litigation matters. From those experiences, he has great understanding on Industrial Relations in Industrial Relations Court, Family Law in District Court, Alternative Dispute Resolution in Badan Arbitrase Nasional Indonesia (BANI), and Debt Recovery ini Commercial Court. His focus of practice area has advised various his Clients to achieve their objectives legal needs.


He holds a license to practice in Indonesian Courts as well as member of The Indonesian Advocates Associaton (PERADI). He speaks Bahasa Indonesia and English.
